My name is LaTecha Stone. I was born and raised in Alexander City, Alabama. I attended and graduated from BRHS. I attended Central Alabama Community College, Tuskegee University, and Alabama State University. I have an Associates Degree in Science, a Bachelors Degree in English, and a Masters Degree in Secondary Language Arts/English Education. I did my intern here at Alexander City Middle School where I luckily became a teacher the next year after my intern. I have been teaching for 9 years. I began teaching English and for the last two years I taught Reading, but this year I am excited to be teaching Keyboarding/Computer Applications. I have two children. My son, Christopher Graham (Pete) who will be attending U of A in Tuscaloosa (Roll Tide) and my daughter, Zahria Ross who will be starting the 7th grade for the new year. My husband is Antonio Stone. I enjoy being a teacher and especially working with children. I started teaching at the Middle School and hope to retire at the Middle School.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy spending time with family and friends but most importantly family. I am a member of Great Bethel Missionary Baptist Church where I sing in my church's choir and I work with the children in the Drama Ministry Department.
